This paper presents a practical complete modal space technique to a reduced test -- analysis model so that a Complete Mode-Type Reduction (CMR) method can be obtaine.d The CMR can efficiently remove the modal truncated error of an existing Mode -- type Reduction (MR). However, CMR has a unique shortcoming, which can not retain the rigid -- body properties of suspended structures. Two other improved reduction techniques are also developed to include rigid--body mode in the analyses. The number of the satisfactory elastic modes of reduced models obtained from imrpvoed method is fewer-than that from CMR.
