Wu-Li Shi-Li Ren-Li approach (WSR): an oriental systems methodology

The WSR approach is presented as a distinguishable methodological guide, consolidated from Systems research and practice in China since the 1950's. With its principles of participation, synthesis, comprehensiveness, iteration, and flexibility, the approach has proved able to assist Systems practitioners in its three areas of strength, to know Wu-h, to sense Shi-li, and to care Ren-li, this is through critically employing a wide range of systems methodologies in a systemic manner. Having its intellectual roots in the Oriental philosophical and cultural traditions, WSR has shown its 'descriptive' as well as its 'normative' significance for improving human-socio-economic situations, especially in the recent Oriental context.
