A mathematical model for one 60t/h of steam PFBC boiler under construction is developed in the present paper. It is used to analyse the dynamic behaviour of the unit. In the modelling, the unit is divided into several sections. A submodel is developed for each section based on mass, energy and momentum conservation laws and the parameters of the model are obtained from the design data. The submodels are then coupled together to obtain the complete model of the unit. The simulation results are analysed and found to be as expected.
