The Performance of Concatenated Coded Modulation Scheme in HDTV

摘要

A concatenated coding systems with a Reed -Solomon outer code and a bandwidth efficient inner trellis coded modulation is investigated for application in high definition television (HDTV) terrestrial broadcasting system. This scheme is simulated with computer and its performance analysis is presented in this paper. The results indicates that a low threshold signal -to -noise ratio (SNR) HDTV system can be achieved and that the theoretical estimation is coincidental with the computer simulation.
