Two lanthanide complexes: Ln_2(Ileu)_4(ClO_4)_6·8H_2O were synthesized in aqueous solution(where Ln=Nd or Er, Heu=L-iso-leucine). The crystal structure of neodymium complex was determined by X-ray diffraction method. The crystal is monoclinic, space group C_2 with a=2.1703(4), b=1.0435(2), c= 1.5200(3) nm β=l20.26(2)°, v=2.973(2)nm~3, and z=2. The complex was a binuclear molecule, each neodimium ion is coordinated by four carboxylic oxygen atoms from four L-iso-leucine and four oxygen atoms from H_2O, forming a coordination polyhedron of square antiprism.
