Modelling Temporal Semantics in an Object-Oriented Database

A temporal object model has been implemented as a generic collection class based on ordered collections of time points. A detailed description of the Chronicle class and subclassesis given, and the problems of expressing general temporal queries are outlined. Advantages include group level transaction timestamping and an intuitive application framework.
