This paper analyzes the technologies which are needed to realize multimedia applications on high-speed networks from the computer communications aspects.Especially,middle ware functions between applications and lower layer communication functions are discussed for the end-to-end communications.QOS coordination,connection controls,and other functions are examined as middle ware communication functions.
