DECOMP, A MULTI-COMPARTMENT RAPID DECOMPRESSION ANALYSIS CODE

The FORTRAN computer program DECOMP provides a general solution to the emergency decompression problem resulting when a pressurized multi-compartment vessel experiences a sudden blowout to ambient conditions. The basic mathematical solution developed supports an unlimited number of volumes. Each volume is vented to any other volume or to ambient conditions. The vent area can remain constant or vary as a function of the delta pressure between volumes.
