Associated with the observation of filter cake constructure, this paper studies the filtering mechanism of air pressure filtration in a home-made laboratorial air pressure filler and examines the fractal constructure of filter cake. Our reearch indicates that Darcy's Law is also followed in the filter formation stage of air pressure filtration; In air blowing stage, the moisture can be decreased effectively by compressing the filter cake, displacing and evaporating the remain water. The research also shows that the filler cake constructure is a sort of Sierpinski fractal, the fractal dimension of different filter cake is with is 1.775-1.984.
