Fargo, North Dakota, will generate ozone from high purity oxygen with a supplemental air system to enhance mixing in the ozone contactors art its new 30 mgd water treatment plant. The design ozone dosage range is from 1.5 to 3.0 mg/L, with a concentration up to 10 percent by weight. WHile the maximum ozone production rate is 835 ppd (3.0 mg/L dosage with a 90 percent transfer efficiency), the average production is expected to be 265 ppd which is approximately 30 percent of capacity.
