This paper presents an experimental study of the combustion efficiency of a bituminous coal in a 0.161 - mid circulating fluidized-bed. The combustion efficiency was found to be in the range 91.620% to 99.99%, and it increased with increasingtemperature and excess air factor. The combustion efficiency decreased, however, with increasing secondary air total air ratio.
