Automatic Generation of Web Interfaces From User Interaction Diagrams

This paper presents the development and validation of a tool for mapping UIDs (User Interaction Diagrams) to JSF (Java Server Faces) web pages. Based on the characteristics of UID elements and JSF components, we designed a tool with a set of rules that automates the process of mapping UIDs to a web based user interface. This tool was developed in Java and its validation was performed by having automatically generated pages compared against pages that were created by designers of an e-commerce website.
