A coaxial cylindrical double discharge type ozonizer has been produced by way of experiment and a stable diffuse glow discharge has been established between metal electrodes with gap spacing 2, 3.5 and 5mm at atmospheric pressure in air. The maximum efficiency of ozone production is obtained at the energy density of about 5mJ/cm3 for three differnet gap spacing. the ratio of the injected electrical energy into main discharge to the energy injected into pre-ischarge is very important parameter for the improvement of the efficiency of ozone production. This ratio depends on the main gap spacing. A larger gap spacing of 9mm is also used the ozone production.
