Optical analysis of thermal-induced structural distortions

This paper outlines the techniques utilized to analyze optical components, such as scanning mirrors and telescope optics. The methodology utilized in the analysis of the GOES scan mirror is reviewed along with representative results. The technique and some of the possible pitfalls are outlined.
