The fluid dynamic conditions have a major influence on the polarization curve of an alkaline electrolysis cell. The electrolyte flow rate and the membrane-electrode distance (volume of the electrolyte chamber) are some of the key factors which influence on the behavior of two-phase flow inside a cell. In this study, the experimental results on the effect of forced convection in the ohmic overpotentials for different electrode-membrane distances (d_(e-m)) are shown.
