摘要

In order to prepare for the future, the gas industry is looking at alternative gaseous fuels, one such fuel gas is hydrogen. There are still large reserves discovered for natural gas which can contribute to about 50% of the world energy mix for a longer time, but hydrogen is expected to become more and more available from converted wind energy via electrolysis. Hydrogen can be injected into the natural gas networks including the large underground caverns enabling storage of the seasonal fluctuations of renewable energy (Power to gas).
