Hydrogen recently attracts growing awareness as an alternative energy carrier especially because of the urgent need to reduce carbon dioxide emissions, diversify energy sources and ensure energy security. Fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEVs ) are expected to contribute to the future of low carbon energy society using hydrogen as energy carrier. FCEVs entered the Japanese market at the end of 2014 [1] and are anticipated to become more widespread in the future as the deployment of hydrogen refueling stations (HRS) progresses.
