This article discusses the limiting factors in design for the mixed model spherical tank shell angle partition firstly, which are as follow: available plate length and width, machining allowance, steel prices, labor cost. And based on which a computation program was compiled in the second part of this paper. What is more, the optimization results for shell angle partition can be calculated under a variety of specifications available plate, which has realized the economic design with these restricted factors. Finally, the tank shell angle partition's design has been analyzed in a statistical way by using these calculated data. This provides references for spherical tank shell angle partition design.
