By using isokinetic sampling method, the on-line sampling of high-temperature flue gas at inlet and outlet of the third stage cyclone separator in the fluidication catalytic cracking unit (FCCU) was carried out. The solid concentration, size distribution and shape of catalyst particles were obtained by using laser particle size analyzer and particle images analyzer . Then the separation performance of the third stage cyclone separator was calculated and evaluated, which provided guidance for the long-period and safe operation of turbo expander and energy recovery system.
