In this paper, we propose a centralized routing method for vehicle access points (APs). Our proposed method improves the communication quality of pedestrians by controlling the routes of many running vehicles and is used as a mobile AP for providing a high-speed wireless local area network (LAN) to pedestrians. Within the allowed computational time, the control system collectively controls the vehicle AP routes to improve the throughput of pedestrians. The proposed centralized control method consists of two types of control targets: intersection and vehicle, and three types of calculation methods: exhaustive search, ε-exhaustive search, and greedy method. We evaluated how much the proposed method improves the average throughput of pedestrians on a grid road model. We also evaluated the computational time. Compared with the conventional method, the average throughput of pedestrians increases up to 142.9%.
