摘要

A heuristic algorithm to partition a PLA(Programming Logic Arrayl into a set of smaller and faster PLAs is described.Our algorithm first partitions the PLA into subcomponents,then,merges the sub-components to form sub-PLAs to satisfy the user's specifications and to reduce the total cost.The partitioning and merging program was written in P ascal and was imple.mented on a Pyramid computer.Experimental results are reported.
