DIGITAL IMPLEMENTATION OF A SIMPLIFIED CARRIER RECOVERY LOOP

摘要

In this paper we discuss the performance of a simplified carrier recovery loop when it is digitally implemented.The receiver structure examined is suitable for 2 dimensional,suppressed carrier modulated signals.The effectiveness of synchronous and fractionally spaced transversal equalisers is considered with the help of phase jitter vs fade selectivity curves.By placing the carrier phase tracking after equalisation,it is shown that a significant reduction in residual phase jitter can be achieved.
