摘要

This paper shows that the reaction mechanisms of functional failure are about the same as thermogravimetry(TG) test in the TPS. From theoretical analysis and test data we have found that there is a statistic linear relationship between the activation energy E of the former and the distribution f of TG curves. Therefore, the E may be derived by TG. Arrhenius relationship of insulation (y=a+bx=a+E/RT) may be solved with the help of the point slope method. The test time of TPS would be shortened by more than 90 % as compared with IEC 216 [1]. Then its accuracy comes near the latter. This method is very useful for the developing new materials.
