Electrical and acoustic techniques for monitoring partial discharges

Two different partial discharge detection systems have been described for the characterization of partial discharges in capacitor dielectric systems. One, with electrical sensors, uses computer aided control and measurement during accelerated life testing. The other, with acoustic sensors, is designed for versatility and operation in environments of high electromagnetic interference.
