Physiology of the adrenal cortex in inonotremes

摘要

Over the past 13 years information on the physiological function of the adrenal cortex in monotremes and especially the echidna, Tachyglossus acule-atus, has been steadily accumulating. In this paper the major findings in this area will be presented and compared to those on other mammals.
