The Martin Track was developed as a modular rubber track system designed to give superior traction off the road combined with ability to travel on the road. Its performance and durability have been improved by the development of a new pin joint, and its application, under the new name of Martin-traction, has been extended to include agricultural tractors and self-propelled combines.
