REMARKS ON THE OXIDATION OF ODOROUS SUBSTANCES IN WASTE AIR BY WASHING WITH AN OZONE-CONTAINING AQUEOUS SYSTEM

摘要

Experiences with ozone treatment of water have been applied to gas washing by ozone-containing aqueous solutions. Though the system is effective in neutral solution, more favourable results have been obtained with a two-stage procedure employing ozone-containing NaOH solution and sulphuric acid. In many cases the method has been used for an efficient purification of waste gases and removal of odorous substances.
