Statistical analysis of high-percentile wind speed at pedestrian level around an isolated building based on two-parameter Weibull distribution

The method (including the equations and figure) to estimate thehigh-percentile wind speed based on the mean 𜇠and standarddeviation ğœ was discussed in this study. The theoretical relationsbetween the coefficient of variation σ/μ and gust factor ğº_ğ‘ wereobtained based on the characteristics of the two-parameterWeibull distribution. This method showed high accuracy for theestimation of high-percentile (90%, 99% and 99.9%) wind speedsat the pedestrian level around an isolated building. Specifically,for the high-percentile of 90%, 99% and 99.9%, the relative errorswere less than 20% at most points.
