Pumps and hydraulic turbines energy transfer mechanism is successfully joined in one simple theory in this paper. When a fluid particle is rotating together with impeller blades, fluid particles movement differs due to energy giving and receiving. Rotational motion is caused because of the existence of casing wall, and it causes centrifugal force or centripetal force. If fluid particle is forced to rotate by impeller blades and increases its hydraulic energy potential, mechanical energy is transferred to hydraulic energy. In this case, fluid particle flows radially outward from lower pressure zone to higher pressure zone by the action of centrifugal force. However, if the fluid particle forces impeller blades to rotate and decreases its energy potential, hydraulic energy is transferred to mechanical energy. In this case, fluid particle flows radially inward from higher pressure zone to lower pressure zone by the action of centripetal force.
