摘要

Experimental results of skin friction measurements in a two-dimensional water channel of aspect ratio 10:1 are presented. Results are compared when microbubbles are injected into the flow from a porous plate. Drag reduction up to 20% is observed. Void fraction distributions across the channel are found using a sampling probe. Evidence is obtained suggesting that microbubble drag reduction is dependent on the local void fraction close to the wall.
