Two new and completely different numerical methods for the simulation of three-dimensional free surface flows are presented. In both models exists a surface tension between the two fluids which may have different densities and different viscosities. The first method solves the lattice Boltz-mann equation for a one-component, two-phase system. In the second method the incompressible Navier-Stokes equations for two immiscible fluids are solved. Results of both methods for different stationary and time-dependent test cases are compared with each other.
