Higher fuel prices make it possible to minimize the unit costs of generating electricity. One way to reduce the cost is to reduce the cost of electricity produced and increase efficiency. This can be achieved through the introduction of combined cycle plants. The implementation of combined-cycle plants is carried out by combining the gas turbine and steam turbine parts with a common technological cycle. Thus, the gases leaving the steam turbine are a source of heat for the steam cycle. In this paper, a 110 MW CCGT unit is considered. The waste-heat recovery boiler as a connecting link is an important part of the power unit. Therefore, the study of its characteristics may affect the operating modes of other equipment. The aim of this work is to study changes in flow rate, pressure, high and low pressure temperature depending on the load of a gas turbine. Based on a computational study, an analysis of changes in the characteristics of the waste heat boiler under variable operating conditions is presented.
