摘要

Video Processing is a data-intensive computing task. it often involves many computing processes and data moving. Traditional high performance computing platform usually requires application to move data from storage facility to computing nodes, and data moving can become the bottleneck of whole process workflow as the application scales up. In this study, we designed a cloud computing platform, combined computing and storage facility, which can support large scale video processing. Our platform is demonstrated as successful using a real world application that processed 700+K video clips from long term underwater monitoring.
