Influence Relationship between Project Members' Weil-Being at Work and Knowledge Sharing Behavior: An Empirical Study from China

Knowledge sharing behavior among project members plays an important role in improving management level and organizational performance in project-based enterprises, and employees' well-being at work can have a positive impact on individual behavior. However, it is still unclear how project members' well-being at work affects knowledge sharing behavior in the field of construction at present. This paper aims to explore the influence relationship for improving knowledge sharing with a specific focus on project members' well-being at work. Based on literature analysis, research hypotheses and theoretical model were established, then a structured questionnaire was compiled and 540 valid samples data from Chinese construction industry were collected. Confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling analysis were applied to test the theoretical model and research hypotheses. Empirical research results showed that project members' well-being at work has a significant positive effect on knowledge sharing behavior among project members, especially tacit knowledge sharing behavior. Therefore, knowledge sharing behavior among project members can be promoted through improving project members' well-being at work for project-based enterprises in the Chinese construction industry.
