摘要

Galvanized steel the hardware used by Brazilian utilities at networks close to coastal areas has an average life of 4 years against the estimated 20 years when used in noncorrosive environment. The low average life of such hardware is justified by the salty air and the leakage current. The last factor could be considered the main causative agent of low durability. This paper presents the performance of the prototypes in the field, in addition to the results of the studies conducted and presented in previous paper for alternative materials selection can have full life 20 years, making use of the new accelerated aging test methodology in a controlled environment which can reproduce main aggressions of the real and stimuli to which the hardware of the aerial networks of the Celesc experiment in field (simplified physical model), including electric field, whose results of its development and field performance are presented here.
