In the scope of a demonstration project, an absorption resorption refrigeration system (RRS) hasbeen further developed from the functional to the prototype status. The RRS was integrated into theheating, cooling and refrigeration structure of a supermarket. The main purpose of the integrationwas the increase in the annual efficiency of the Cogeneration plant (CHP) and the reduction ofelectrical energy consumption of the cooling system in the A/C level (3°C to 9°C) and mediumtemperature refrigeration (-6°C to 6°C).To distribute the cooling capacity a secondary refrigerant cycle is used, which allows additional R290refrigeration units. A PCM cold storage unit was installed to further increase the flexibility of thegeneration of power, heating and cooling capacity.The implementation of the RRS is presented and the achieved cooling capacities are discusseddepending on selected boundary conditions.
