Contribution of LEAN Management in the Moroccan Ecosystem: Industrial Sector

Faced with global competition and the great extent of market requirements, particularly in the automotive sector, companies are using Lean Manufacturing tools to meet customer requirements in terms of quality, cost and lead time. Companies are prioritizing the Technical aspect, which aims to reduce waste, produce better, faster and at lower cost. On the other hand, there are many companies that neglect the social and organizational side, which has a negative impact on safety, ergonomics and employee motivation. This document provides an overview of the conflicts between technical and social/organizational objectives, as well as an evaluation approach that values the social/organizational side to the industry. In addition, this article presents a sum up of existing information on Lean Management in the literature.
