Automatic control system is effectively applied to improve production quality and production efficiency. In this study, an automatic control system adapted to spacecraft Mechanical Ground Support Equipment (MGSE) automatic storage system was designed. The control system consists of Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) module, In/Out (I/O) interface unit, input module and power supply unit, which realizes the storage of large equipment with the specification of less than or equal to 3m × 5m and the self-weight of less than or equal to 5t. Among them, PLC are used for joint control and execution tasks of hydraulic systems, traversing motors, automatic doors and safety sensors. The results show that the design of the control system is stable and the control accuracy meets the requirements, and the storage function of large equipment is well realized.
