We tend to investigate the performance of cluster-primarily based on multihop cooperative relaying spectrum sensing in cognitive radio network (CRN). The relays within the cluster near to the PU (primary user) sense the presence of PU. These are referred to as sensing cognitive relays (SCRs). The remaining relays in the clusters merely forward the received call from the previous hop. These are referred to as forwarding cognitive relays (FCRs). All SCRs are equipped with multiple antennas whereas the FC (fusion center) and all the FCRs are with one antenna, each antenna of an SCR is related to energy-based detection based on multiple antenna-based sensing. The selections taken by all the SCRs are sent to one of the SCR which is known as cluster head (CH). The CH communicates all these selections to the FC with the assistance of intermediate relay clusters. For this, we tend to select a link that has the maximum acquired signal to noise ratio (SNR), at every hop besides the last 2 hops of transmission. In the last FCR cluster, we perform max-min selection criteria to relay the decision to FC. Analytical results for the probability of miss detection and the probability of false alarm have been deduced at FC and CH. Numerical results are presented to indicate the impact of varied parameters presented within the system on the error performance.
