This paper reveals an omnidirectional slotted patch antenna for the microwave head imaging application. The antenna is formed with a slotted patch and a slotted ground. The length and width of this antenna is 70mm×60mm. Here, the FR-4 substrate is used to design the antenna. A wide bandwidth (1.22 − 3.04 GHz), which is usually used in microwave head imaging systems, is covered by this antenna, and 3.94 dBi gain is obtained. HFSS and CST, two well-known simulators are being used to design and evaluate antenna gain, performance and radiation pattern properties.
