At present, the number of high-rise buildings is increasing, elevator as the main means of transportation of high-rise buildings, its transport role is very significant, so the safety and comfort of elevator is particularly important. The safety and comfort of elevators can be improved significantly by reducing the faults rate. A elevator company has carried out annual faults statistics on its maintenance of the elevator. Through the statistics and analysis of the elevator faults, the author finds out the faults of its own parts (improper use, parts damage, improper maintenance, improper installation modification and unknown faults) and external factors of fault (poor service environment, fault false positives, force majeure, and other external factors) causes and solutions, and summarizes the relationship and responsibility among the management company, maintenance company and users of the elevator. At the end of the essay, the author puts forward some feasible suggestions to reduce the faults rate.
