The Digital Theater Systems (DTS) multichannel film and audio format [1] is becoming a must have in toay's audio/video receiver and DVD markets.Although immediately acceptedin the high-end audio market segment,DTS technology has been rather slow in penetrating larger (low-end) market segments primarily due to its high ocmputational demands which make cost effective IC implementations difficult.
