摘要

Lining wear monitoring is an effective way of maximizing the lifetime of a ladle-lining, improving the safety and cutting refractory costs at the same time. Reliable and accurate ladle wear measurements enable the operator to analyze rapidly material wear and to locate areas that need to be repaired. Thus optimisation of spraying material and gunning process improve the efficiency of refractory repair. The Lacam System becomes an integral part of the steel making process at Aldwarke. For the future a new developed Lacam system for the furnace bath scanner of the Electric Arc Furnace is projected.
