Simultaneous stabilization with multiple bounded domains ofstability in chemical process control

This paper presents extensions to the theory of simultaneousstabilization to the case of multiple bounded domains of stability.Extensions to the coprime factorization approach are described, andseveral conjectures about D-strong stability are demonstrated. Specificconditions of D_i stability for two and three systems arepresented. A case study shown application of this research to problemsin chemical process control is presented, and relationships betweenmodel structures and the stability domains are discussed
