In this paper a model for a room transfer function (RTF) usingcommon acoustical poles is applied to achieve active noise cancelation(ANC) in a small reverberant room. An algorithm has been developed andstudied which is an improved version of the multiple error LMS (MELMS)algorithm. The new one is more suitable in practical real timeimplementations. A comparison between the new algorithm and the MELMShas also been made. The results show that similar noise reductions canbe achieved by both algorithms, but it must be noted that the new onerequires far fewer storage and computational power requirements
