This paper presents the simulation results of two types of controlsystem for an induction machine, fed by a PWM current source inverterwith a capacitive output filter. The vector control scheme was appliedin both cases. In one system, control of stator phase current vectortakes place through an intermediate signal of the stator currentfrequency. This signal is determined by the load angleproportional-integral (PI) controller. In the second system, statorphase current is directly controlled, thanks to synchronization of themodulator with respect to stator flux. Though the output filtercapacitors of PWM current source inverters (CSI) causes somedifficulties in forcing rapid changes in machine currents and voltages,the systems presented herein are characterized by good dynamicproperties
