摘要

A method of calculating the iron losses in a switched reluctancemotor has been presented. The method is based on a reconstruction of theflux density distribution in spatial and time co-ordinates. The ironlosses are calculated in different elements of the geometry giving theiron loss distribution in the geometry. The validity of the method istested by comparing the results of the calculations with accuratelyperformed loss measurements. Taking into consideration that a verysimple hysteresis and eddy current model is used and that the endeffects have been neglected, the calculated results agree well with themeasurements
