Structural Types of Market and Development Tends of the Bankcard Industry of China

摘要

This paper has a study on the structural types of market and development trends of the bankcard industry of our country, with centralized rate of market and Herfindahl-Hirschman Index as measurable indicators. This paper has counted and calculated the CRn indexes and HHI of the number of bank card issuing and RMB deposit balance of bank cards of the bankcard industry of our country separately The results show that the structure of market of our bankcard industry belongs to the extremely high widowed taking type before 2000, while it is translating to highly centralized widowed taking type now. There are some behaviors of unrational competition China's bankcard industry. So we should encourage the market-based competition. The paper also has put forward the suggestion on the development of the bankcard industry of our country.
