The discrete pseudo Wigner distribution is a valuable tool fortime-frequency signal analysis of non-stationary signals. However,artificial spectral peaks called cross-components are appeared in theWigner distribution of multicomponent signals. Even in the case of onlyone component signals, the cross-components are appeared by thenonlinear variation of the signal frequency. This paper introduces atechnique to eliminate the cross-components of the exponentially sweptsignals by varying the sampling rate
