The on-field application of a measurement test set for thecharacterization of electrical drives for linear motion

摘要

In this paper an automatic test set, which allows linear inductionmotors (LIM) to be characterized, is proposed. It allows one to measurethe main electrical and mechanical quantities and also some not directlyaccessible quantities, such as air-gap flux density, thrust and currentdensity in the secondary sheet. The work is completed with experimentalresults connected to the use of the proposed measurement system on adouble-sided LIM prototype
